Parent Involvement

Our Religious Education Program is a cooperative effort. It works because parents and other adults share their time, talents, and skills with each other and with the children. There is an expectation that parents will help out at least once in the program. No experience necessary, just an open mind and adventurous spirit. Our whole church community builds itself from the desires and skills of our congregants. if there is something you want to see happen let's bring it to life, we don't have a church without you!

Thank you.

There are no fees for participation in the children’s programs. The Unitarian Church of Vancouver exists and operates through the voluntary contributions made on a regular basis by its members and friends. Development, direction, staffing and basic costs for the Children’s Religious Exploration Program are part of the Unitarian Church of Vancouver’s annual budget.

You are invited to make donations specific to the RE program here or at any time, particularly if you attend more than casually and do not pledge as a member or friend.
The program relies on the many forms of contributions made by the whole congregation, including funds, volunteer time, committee and advisor commitments, and other forms of support.
Please see Kiersten Moore, Lifespan Faith Director about volunteer opportunities and needs. kiersten@ucv.im

And finally...

Attendance: Regular attendance makes a positive difference in our group, for both children and leaders. It helps to establish friendships and promote a sense of the strong community that is so important for children in their own congregations, as they establish a sense of home and belonging.  Our families are busy and we have a lot on our plate, coming every Sunday does not work for everyone, but I and the class leaders look forward to seeing you often!
