As IPA’s programs theme being ‘Cultural Connection and Learning’, a special course of ‘Qi Gong’ exercise is being offered to members and friends of UCV!
We are fortunate to have Yuen Hing Tse as our instructor. She has given this Qi Gong course (Wah Tor Chi Kung) over 10 years in various settings. She obtained her Master of Social work and worked in mental health services in Toronto and Vancouver; She is also a certified consultant on nutritional healing and offered her service at ‘Choices’ supermarkets in their wellness department.
Qi Gong is an ancient form of exercise that is steep in eastern philosophy of health and well-being. It emphasizes on circulation, use of breathing, and flow movements to help increase one’s energy. Given time and regular practice, health benefits will be evident.
Hing proposes a course of five weeks, of weekly one hour sessions at UCV for interested members. Drop in is possible.
Sessions will take place 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. on Sundays in the Lindsey-Priestley room in Hewett Centre.
You can contact Hing directly for signing up and info. Email: wtck2023[at]gmail[dot]com
It will be a free course, with donations welcome.
